a business is like a jealous mistress

...and i quote my title from my management consultancy professor; mr. lacson.
it's only my first week back in school for my last year and i've met all my professors for all my different classes for my hopefully, last year in school. it's really more interesting now as the subjects i'm taking are what i'd call, hard core. the classes i have now will evaluate every senior student of their learnings for the past three years in college as everything is integrated in each class and the set-up now looks very corporate to me and each professor is a boss that needs to be pleased. =)
my professors have all said different things about business at the start of the school year but each reminded us of what a business is and all other things related to it. but what really struck me are the words of my management consultancy professor. he simply said that a business is like a jealous mistress. it needs to have money. it needs to be nourished. it needs to be given time and attention. it is delicate and if you're not careful, everything will fall or will disappear in an instant. i think he got it right; this really speaks the truth of how a business is. (but note, that i'm not encouraging anyone to be a mistress or to acquire one.)

hi there. i apologize for my lack of posts. i have come into so much work that i lost a lot of the time i 've alloted for blogging.
i am starting a new business and i'm very much excited about it. i don't want to say much yet for fear of losing my ideas. hehe, i hope you understand and don't mind about it. i do promise that when i've finalized everything, i will post an entry or two about it. i of course want to spread the word of my business so as to gain a number of clients. =)
classes will be starting in a few days, so definitely there will be a lot of things that i'll be learning when it comes to business, management, entrepreneurship, marketing, and other things that are related to business and are taught in school. so, keep posted to learn more.
