so, i've learned in my field today that business writing is not given enough attention. one writes business letters so poorly and does not consider the consequences that come with it.
yes, poorly written business letters do have consequences.
remember that a business letter is written to fellow business persons, to employees, to co-workers, and to customers as well. once a poorly constructed business letter is read, an impression is then handed out and it certainly can't be a good one. the impression made does not only reflect the writer's image, but also of the company's and of the product it is selling. and so, if one is taking business seriously, then one must also take business writing seriously.

in writing business letters, there are a lot to remember. to mention a few, one must think about the format, the style, and the body. the components of the letter must be well organized and complete like in the inside address, one cannot just write a mr. smith and completely leave out the first name. it shows disrespect and the lack of effort of not finding out what the person's first name is. as a result, the addressee might seem disinterested to read the letter that was sent.

working and getting paid for the summer

so, i signed up for a summer job at my parents'.
and i've received my pay and i'm glad about it.
but when i got to the mall to start spending what i've earned,
i suddenly did not feel like taking the money out of my purse.
isn't that weird? i guess that's what the elders say about valuing money.
if you earned it by yourself, you'll find it difficult to spend it on unneccessary things or things that are of no importance at the moment.

when it's your money that you're spending, you tend to hold back.

paintball in davao

paintball has popped in davao city. i first saw it near the matina town square, when i was on my way home. i thought that was the only place to play the game in the city but i found out that i can also do it right outside the crocodile farm.
having tried it with my cousins and my uncle during their stay here made me want to blog about it and the first thing i can say about it is that it hurts. no kidding! even though wearing the gear makes you feel protected, you could still end up bruising at the end of the day. but even so, doing it with friends, family, or a group you're a part of makes it a lot of fun. it's a game of survival that bonds you and your mates and it is definitely one of the things worth trying again. check them out. they have a blog too! :)
and oh! and i must say that having a field for paintball is great and having the business is also great! it would be hard to take out. :)
